Hanwha has unveiled its next-generation QVGA AI Thermal Surveillance Camera, designed to elevate perimeter and critical infrastructure security. Equipped with built-in AI object detection, advanced thermal imaging with a NETD of under 20mK, and long-range telephoto lens options up to 60mm, this compact yet powerful series sets a new standard in thermal monitoring.
Ideal for safeguarding data centers at close range or
monitoring long-distance activity across borders, highways, airports, and
energy facilities, the QVGA AI Thermal Surveillance Camera ensures accurate,
reliable detection in complete darkness and challenging conditions such as
rain, fog, and smoke. AI-based detection for people and vehicles is included at
no additional cost.
Its onboard AI engine delivers real-time identification of
people and vehicles, significantly reducing false alarms caused by shadows,
weather-related motion, animals, or debris. Event-driven analytics including
line crossing and loitering detection enable more proactive surveillance.
WiseMD, the camera’s AI-powered motion detection, helps operators concentrate
on meaningful movement and automates alerts with high precision. Additionally,
the camera supports temperature change detection across three designated zones.
With a NETD below 20mK, these highly sensitive cameras offer
superior thermal contrast, allowing operators to capture crisp, detailed images
even in low-contrast environments such as humid conditions, fog, and
long-distance scenes that challenge conventional thermal systems.
The QVGA AI Thermal Surveillance Camera is available with
13mm, 19mm, 35mm, and 60mm focal lengths to suit a wide range of monitoring
needs. For short-range applications, the 13mm lens can detect vehicles at up to
115 meters and people at 87 meters. For extended-range surveillance, the 60mm
lens increases vehicle detection capability to 532 meters and person detection
to 399 meters. With DRI-based detection distances reaching up to 5.4 km, Hanwha
Vision’s thermal lineup offers the flexibility and reach essential for securing
vast perimeters.
Engineered for tough outdoor conditions, the QVGA AI Thermal
Surveillance Cameras come with IP66/67 weather protection, IK10 impact
resistance, and a shielded RJ-45 port for enhanced surge resistance. Compliance
with NEMA 4X, NEMA-TS 2, and MIL-STD-810H standards makes these cameras
significantly more rugged than typical surveillance devices. Their lightweight
construction and simplified mounting system also enable quick, hassle-free
installation in tight or elevated spaces.
